HOW IT WORKS
Goldata Financial is an investment advisory firm, not a stockbroker, and is not compensated by commissions generated. Therefore, the accounts managed by Goldata Financial use deep-discount brokers that keeps trading commissions to a minimum. Goldata Financial has no minimum for opening an account. More important is how this new account will fit in with your current base of assets. Items such as your goals, risk tolerance and the type of securities you currently own will be discussed with you to determine if Goldata Financial’s offerings are appropriate for you. Should you wish to work with Goldata
Financial, you will be asked to fill out a regular new account application at
a brokerage account with a deep-discount broker. In addition, you will be
asked to sign a form giving Goldata Financial limited trading authority in
this account. If you are transferring securities and/or cash from another
brokerage account, you will be asked to fill out an account transfer form. In addition, you will sign an agreement
with Goldata Financial separately, which summarize what Goldata Financial
will do for you and your responsibilities to Goldata Financial. It also includes sections that
highlight the risks, the possible lack of diversification, the above average
amount of turnover to be expected in the account(for short-term trading
accounts only) and other such items. To view the Agreement for Investment
Services (Short-term trading portfolio for Accredited Investors), click
here. To view the Agreement for Investment Services (Income-oriented
portfolio), click
here. After filling out these forms, send them to Goldata Financial at the address below. The forms will be reviewed, signed by Goldata Financial, copied and forwarded to the deep discount broker. You will receive a copy of these forms. When the account has been setup properly, trading in your account will start. Confirmation of all trades and monthly statements are available and your account is accessible online at any time to view current positions, trades, transaction history and current open orders. You can even download information on your account to certain software packages. For short-term trading accounts for
accredited investors, fee’s are 15% of the increase in the account as
of each 1-month anniversary date. Goldata Financial earns no fees if there is
no increase in the account by the anniversary date. In addition, the previous
month’s value becomes a “high-water” mark, which must be
passed before further fees are earned. For Income-oriented accounts, Goldata
Financial’s fee, equal to 0.25% of the assets you opened the account
with will be deducted from your account.
This will cover fees for the next 3 months. This is an annualized fee
of 1.00%. On each 3-month anniversary date, a deduction equal to 0.25% will
be deducted from your account based on the value of your account on the
anniversary date. You may cancel using Goldata Financial at any time, but you
are responsible for fees incurred on a pro-rata basis. Any fees paid in
advance that have not been earned will be prompted refunded to you on a
pro-rata basis. As
part of the services provided to you, a quarterly review is offered to review
accounts and answer any questions you might have. If, at any time between meetings you
have any questions, feel free to call or email. |
