Meet the
Principal
Goldata Financial’s
principal is Elliot Goldberg. He
was born in New York City in 1952 and grew up in Rockland County, New York.
He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1974 with a Bachelors
of Science in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science. After college, Mr. Goldberg worked for
General Electric in the Information Systems division and then for Alexander
and Alexander, an insurance brokerage firm. In March, 1975, Mr. Goldberg started
Goldata Information Services, Inc., a computer consulting company based in
New York. He married in 1980 and moved to the western suburbs of Philadelphia
where he established Goldata Computer Services, Inc., a Pennsylvania
corporation, and built it into a successful computer consulting, software and
timesharing company. As the computer industry changed during the
1990’s, Mr. Goldberg changed with it by refocusing Goldata as a
computer database company for the computer industry. By the late 1990’s, the majority
of Mr. Goldberg’s time was being spent on managing his personal assets.
Since 2004, Mr. Goldberg has been managing third-party assets as the
principal of Goldata Financial, in addition to his own. Mr. Goldberg currently lives in Gladwyne,
